Common Signs Your Car's A/C Has Issues!

May is here and June, July and August are not far behind. That can only mean one thing... Heat! Those of you that wear shirts and ties to work, like myself, know that a fully functioning Air Conditioner in your car is a very important piece of technology!! If your A/C unit needs work, now is the time to do it. Here are some signs that you might need a tune-up!

  • STRANGE WET ODORS - This may indicate that there is some sort of mold growing in your evaporator box.

  • LOW AIR FLOW FROM VENTS - This is likely a sign that the evaporator is getting too cold and freezing up, thus preventing air from flowing like it should.

  • STRANGE NOISES AND VIBRATIONS - If something is caught in your A/C's fan, this may lead to a vibrating sound that will need to be fixed.

  • WET CARPETS - Auto air conditioners are built with a drain that gets rid of water below the vehicle. If this drain gets clogged, you may end up with wet carpets.

If you notice any of these issues, the best thing to do is get to a Fox Dealerships service shop right away.
